FriendCooks is a food sharing app that allows friends in close geographic location to easily share real home-made food (not food pictures or recipes as many other apps do). You can eat food your friends have cooked, or you can cook for your friends, free or with a fee.

Hate cooking? Bad at cooking? No problem! Use the app to find out which friend of yours near your location is sharing food and get some from him/her. All available dishes close to your location will be shown right on your iPhone or iPad screen. Requesting a dish on the app is extremely easy!

Love cooking? Really good at cooking? You probably have posted many pictures of your fine creations on your blog, WeChat, Facebook, Instagram, etc. But what is good for people just look at your dish pictures with watering mouths? Now you can actually share your artfully crafted food to your friends right on the app. Once a dish is posted on the app, everybody in your close geographic location will see it and can request it right in the app. Managing food requests is extremely easy. You can confirm orders, change order status and tracking sales with just a few taps.

What can you do with the app?

1. Eat healthy food. The food shared on the App are cooked by your friends. They also eat the food themselves, so you know they will use the best materials for the dishes.

2. Get genuine home-made ethnic dishes. It is hard to get authentic ethnic food from the many Americanized ethnic restaurants. For example, can you get Rou Jia Mo or Xi’an Liang Pi from a local Chinese restaurant? No way! Using the app, you can easily find out who is making those delicious authentic Chinese, German, Russian, Indian, Mexican …… dishes near your location, and you can request one to quench your craving for your beloved dish from your home country.

3. Showing off your culinary skills. You shall no longer post pictures of your proudly made dishes on social media. Using the app, you can still post the pictures, but at the same time, your friends can actually pick up your dish and try it!

4. Helping out friends. Since you are cooking anyway, why not cook a few extra and post it on the app? Some of your friends who is not gifted in cooking or is too busy (lazy) to cook can come pick it up and enjoy eating without the hassle to cook his/her own. Remember, sharing does not have to be free. Your friend will be happy to pay a fee for your work.

5. Have fun! Sharing is caring! Sharing food made by yourself with friends via the app, just like inviting friends to your home for dinner, can keep friends connected and increase friendship.
